Discounts

Codes and automatic discounts, worked out at checkout

Make a code for a campaign, or an automatic discount that needs no code at all. The checkout summary and the order use the same discount rules, so the total a shopper sees is the total on their order.

  • Percentage off, fixed amount off, free shipping, or buy X get Y
  • Apply it to the entire order, specific products or specific collections
  • Set a minimum order value, and a usage limit for codes
  • Let a discount stack with others, or keep it exclusive so only the best one applies
  • Free shipping shows the shipping price struck through, next to your discount’s name
  • A code that doesn’t qualify is turned down at checkout with a message, not silently ignored

Popups

Popups that send shoppers to your offer

Write a headline, a line of text and a button, choose when the popup opens, and switch it on. Shoppers close it with the × or by clicking outside it.

  • Open on page load, after a delay, at a scroll depth you set, or on exit intent
  • Headline, subheadline, formatted body text and a button with your own link
  • A live preview of the headline and button while you edit
  • Each popup opens once per browser session, not on every page
  • Switch a popup off without deleting it

Popups appear on stores that have published a theme. Exit intent opens a popup when the pointer leaves the top of the window, so it fires in desktop browsers.

Ads and analytics

Show Meta and Google which ads led to orders

Switch on the app in Apps and paste your ID. The tag loads on your storefront, and the thank-you page can report each order with its real value.

  • Meta Pixel: a PageView on storefront pages and a Purchase event with the order value and items
  • Google Analytics 4: the GA4 tag, plus purchase events with items, tax and shipping when you turn them on
  • Google Ads: a conversion with the order value, and a product feed for Google Merchant Center
  • Mailchimp: buyers are added to your Mailchimp audience, with a tag, when they order
  • An ID in the wrong format is ignored, so a typo never puts a broken tag on your store

These are apps you switch on in Apps. They measure orders; ad campaigns are still created and managed in Meta and Google.

How it works

From offer to order

  1. 1

    Create the offer

Choose a discount code or an automatic discount, then its type, what it applies to and any minimum order value.

  2. 2

    Shoppers get it at checkout

Automatic discounts apply by themselves. Codes go in the Discount code box, and the summary shows the saving before the order is placed.

  3. 3

    The order keeps the saving

The order shows the discount taken off, and the Used count on your Discounts screen goes up.

  4. 4

    See what worked

With the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4 or Google Ads app set up, the thank-you page reports the order and its value.

Frequently asked questions

Not yet. Email campaigns are not ready to use, so we do not offer them. If you use Mailchimp, switch on the Mailchimp app: buyers are added to your Mailchimp audience when they order, and you send your newsletters from Mailchimp.
Not yet. Promotional SMS and WhatsApp broadcasts are not connected to a provider. The MSG91 SMS, Twilio SMS, Textlocal SMS and WhatsApp Business apps can message customers about their own orders (placed, paid, shipped or cancelled) through your account with that provider.
Not yet. A popup shows your headline, text and a button that links wherever you choose, such as the collection your offer is on. It has no email field.
Not yet. There are no automatic abandoned-cart emails and no automated marketing flows running today.
No. Discount codes and automatic discounts apply at your online checkout. At the register, staff can take an amount off the sale instead.
Yes, through the storeVero API: a discount with start and end dates only applies at checkout between them. The Discounts screen has no date fields yet, so a discount made there runs until you switch it off or it reaches its usage limit.
